Description: A family living in a Copenhagen suburb, with access to beautiful beaches, large forests and green areas, only 15 minutes to the city centre by train. This family speaks Finnish, Danish, and English at home. They are looking for a Finnish-speaking Au Pair to help with their children’s care and language development.
Your main duties are getting the children ready for nursery in the morning and taking them there, picking them up and spending about two hours with them in the afternoon until the mother gets home at 4 pm. You will also do some evening babysitting and light household duties, such as keeping the kitchen and the children’s rooms tidy and clean and doing the children’s laundry. You will work a maximum of 30 hours per week (Danish law allows up to 5 hours per day up to 6 days per week), although the family estimates it will typically be fewer hours.
The family will pay for your flights to and from Finland and your Danish language course. If you do not have a current first aid and CPR certificate, they would like to pay for a course for you to complete before starting as an Au Pair.
Their current Nanny-Housekeeper placed by our agency warmly recommends the family!

Description: A family living on a farm in a small town called Humppila. The nearest larger town is Forssa about 30 km away, and you can drive to the city of Tampere in 1 hour.
This family is looking for an Au Pair to assist the parents in caring for their two young children. You will mostly work alongside the mother. Your duties also include light household chores, such as preparing breakfast and snacks, helping to prepare meals, tidying up after meals and the children’s rooms and play areas, doing the children’s laundry, and helping out with the weekly cleaning.
Your working day is typically about 2 hours in the morning and 3-4 hours in the afternoon and evening. The eldest child goes to the nursery Mon–Fri 8 am to 3 pm, and the busiest time of day is in the afternoon until bedtime when both children are at home.
You must like spending time and playing outdoors in any weather, as this is the children’s favourite activity! You will also play with the children at home and accompany the mother and the children to local nature activities and events.
This family is very keen to show a foreign Au Pair life on a Finnish farm and what Finnish culture is like. You are welcome to join them on regular weekend trips to the grandparents’ house in a larger town, and their other family members are happy to host you in Helsinki should you like to visit and explore the capital city.
The family’s language at home is Finnish, and it would be ideal for you to learn a few important words and phrases to communicate with the children. The parents can speak English with you.
Due to the urgent start date, an EU passport or a valid Au Pair residency permit in Finland is required. The family will pay for your language course and you can use their car during your time off.
GERMAN-SPEAKING AU PAIR TO FINLAND

Start date: August 2025
Duration: A minimum of 9 months
Language skills: Fluent German and average/good English
Driving licence: Yes
Age of children: 3, 9, and 12 years
Accommodation: Spacious private double bedroom with TV and internet, and bathroom shared with the eldest child only
Description: A multilingual family (Finnish, Swedish, German, English) living in a beautiful, large home in the countryside, close to the coast about 25 km from Helsinki city centre. They are looking for a German-speaking Au Pair to help with their children’s care and language development.
The eldest two go to school and the youngest to nursery until 3 pm. Your main responsibility is picking the children up from school and nursery and driving them to after-school activities. You will also play with them at home and outdoors, cook meals for them, and do light household chores, such as keeping the kitchen and play areas tidy, doing the children’s laundry, and general cleaning (although a weekly cleaning service is employed).
The children’s hobbies and interests include horse riding and hobby horses, football, floorball, arts and crafts, and music (they play various instruments). The ideal Au Pair would have at least some experience with young children (age 3–4) and the ability to enforce family rules and boundaries with the children. An EU passport or a valid work permit for nannying in Finland is required.
The family also has a dog so unfortunately you cannot apply if you are allergic to dogs.
A car is available for your personal use. The family will pay for your flights to and from Finland and your language course (Finnish/Swedish). They are happy to invite you along to explore Finland, especially at their two summer cottages, one in the archipelago near Helsinki and one by a lake further away. Their former Au Pair placed by our agency is very happy to recommend the family!
